BABA SUWE: VETERAN ACTOR AT ADMISSION TO LUTH, FG INTERVENES

Babatunde Omidina, better known as “Baba Suwe”, was admitted to the Lagos University Hospital (LUTH) in Idi Araba, Lagos.

Mr. Bolaji Amusan, National President of the Association of Film and Film Producers of Nigeria (TAMPAN), forwarded this text to the Nigerian News Agency (NAN) on Friday in Lagos.

Amusan, better known as “Mr. Latin, “said that this development was the result of the federal government’s approval to pay Baba Suwe’s medical bill.

He added that the veteran comedian suffering from an unknown disease was a first-class treatment by the federal government at LUTH.

Amusan revealed that the Minister of Health, Professor Isaac Adewole, had paid medical bills.

Amusan said: “I and other members of the association have just brought Baba Suwe to LUTH from his residence.

“I want to thank the minister for this gesture and we are pleased that our colleague wants to get back on his feet after a full treatment.

“He is receiving first class treatment and we feel very honored.

“I also thank the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, for his generosity, having donated 1 million nairas for the treatment of Baba Suwe.

“So, thanks to you who donated for our call, we can not appreciate them enough.

“As the new president of the association, the well-being of my members is paramount in my mind, which I am determined to improve over my four years in office”.
