The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the state of Ekiti has again confirmed that it already has sensitive and insensitive material for the holding of Saturday’s elections.
S addressing reporters to Ado Ekiti on Thursday, the interim resident commissioner for INEC elections, administrative secretary of the state secretary. Muslim Omoleke said the election materials were monitored by a special center called the Electoral Operations Support Center (EOSC).
Omoleke revealed that the INEC in Ekiti had received virtually all the necessary material for the holding of the elections and that it was ready for the poll.
It was added that the safety and security of the working groups and registration areas have been realized and have always been followed.
“The reason for the postponement of the election for the general is that of the logistical problem.” At the moment we speak, we have distributed all the documents, whether sensitive or not, to the local administrations from which they were sent. transferred to parishes and registration areas.
“Virtually all material has been unloaded since Thursday morning.To make the elections credible, we will organize retraining training for our ad hoc staff.
“We created the Electoral Operations Support Center (EOSC) to get the right places.
“So we have people working in the meeting room who have all the staff on the ground, especially the presidents.
“We worked with the security agencies, the police, the NIA and the NSCDC and the army, who kept our documents, and we are 100% sure that our materials are intact and safe.
“I can say with confidence that we have just settled the situation that led to the sudden postponement of last week.
“The confusion in our documents last week at the Central Bank of Nigeria is intended to prevent this from happening again,” he said.
