Seun Kuti loses in the category “world music”

 

 

Affrobeat artist Seun Kuti lost his bid to win the Grammy Awards at Soweto Gospel Choir in South Africa.

On Sunday evening February 10, 2019, 36-year-old Fela Anikulapo Kuti lost the World Music Award category to the 2019 Grammys.

Nigerian Bombo, Fatoumata Diawara from Mali and The Soviet Yiddish Glory.

The choir had already won the Grammy Awards in 2007 and 2008.

Fami Kuti, who has been nominated four times but failed to win at any time.

Femi was nominated in 2003, 2010, 2012 and 2014 for her album No Place For My Dream.

King Sunny Ade is another Nigerian who has been appointed in the past. He was elected twice in 1983 and 1988.
